Sarasota Diagnodent Glossary

Diagnodent is a small portable device designed as an adjunct to a traditional oral examination in the detection of occlusal decay. It’s a pen-like laser probe that sends a safe, painless laser beam into the tooth. The laser beam detects the hidden decay and grades it using a numeric display and an alarm that send signals when there are signs of hidden decay.
