Dr. Christine Koval was born and raised in Hazleton, Pennsylvania. By the age of 14 she knew she wanted to be a dentist. Her father, Dr. Eugene Koval, an oral surgeon, inspired her with his love and enthusiasm for what he did. She would work in his oral surgery practice any time she was able. She attended Cedar Crest College in Allentown, Pennsylvania and received a double degree in Chemistry and Biology. She continued on to graduate from Georgetown University School of Dentistry in 1983. Dr. Koval started her practice with her father in Sarasota that same year and the practice has been at the same location ever since.
Dr. Koval is a member of the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, American Dental Association, West Coast Dental Society and the Sarasota County Dental Association. She is also a member of the Florida Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry and has been awarded more than 19 Gold Medals by her peers for exceptional Smile Makeovers. Dr. Koval has been awarded “America’s Top Dentist” annually since 2005. She is honored to have been selected by her peers as “Top Dentist” in her community.
Dr. Koval is a fellow in the International Academy for Dental Facial Esthetics, for recognition of services and devotion to the advancement of the various arts of esthetics in Dentistry and Medicine. She feels that education is paramount to enthusiasm and excellent technique. She is committed to consistently continuing her education with the American and Florida Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, along with the Las Vegas Institute for Advanced Dental Studies, among other respected organizations. With extensive and combined training and experience, Dr. Koval is able to complete many cosmetic and rehabilitative dental procedures in as few as 2-4 visits.
Beyond her professional life, Dr. Koval is a devoted wife and the mother of two very special young men.
Dr. Eugene has retired from clinical practice at this time, and is warmly thought of by all of the patients he has treated over the years. He is now an acting consultant at Koval and Koval Dental Associates. His accomplishments include building, managing and owning an oral surgery Hospital in Hazleton, Pennsylvania, for over 20 years. He continued his practice of Oral Surgery in partnership with his daughter Christine; his talents and love for dentistry strongly influenced Christine to pursue a similar path.
